The Bruery

//
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Bruery is an award-winning craft brewery known for its experimental, barrel-aged beers and a constantly evolving lineup of specialty releases. During my time there, I was hired as Design Lead and later promoted to Senior Designer and Creative Manager. I led the design and execution of packaging and visual assets across the brand, developing a cohesive system that supported everything from limited beer releases to beer club shipments, merchandise, and taproom marketing.

THE CHALLENGE
The Bruery releases a large number of specialty beers each year, many of which are experimental or limited runs. The challenge was maintaining a consistent premium identity while allowing each release to feel distinct. Packaging also needed to support multiple formats, including bottles, boxed releases, and beer club shipments, while remaining efficient for production and scalable for future beers.

//
THE STRATEGY
The goal was to elevate the premium feel of the brand while creating a flexible system for new releases. The creative direction leaned into vintage and barrel-aged influences, using refined typography, thoughtful color palettes, and structured layouts that reflected the craftsmanship behind the beers. By establishing a consistent label framework and typographic hierarchy, the packaging allowed for experimentation while maintaining a cohesive identity across the growing product lineup.

//
THE RESULTS
The packaging system provided a structured framework that supported the brewery’s growing lineup of experimental beers. By aligning design across packaging, marketing, and retail environments, the work helped reinforce The Bruery’s reputation as a premium craft brand while allowing new releases to launch efficiently. What made the project successful was creating a design framework that allowed The Bruery to release experimental beers while maintaining a premium brand identity.
