Oak & Ember

//
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Oak & Ember is a craft BBQ restaurant based in Ontario, California, built around smoke, fire, and a hospitality-driven experience. I partnered with the team to develop the brand from the ground up, creating everything from naming and identity to menus, signage, and environmental graphics. The goal was to build a brand that felt bold and modern while still rooted in familiarity and craftsmanship.its space.

THE CHALLENGE
With no cohesive identity in place, the brand lacked the energy and presence needed to match the quality of the food and overall experience. The challenge was to create a brand that could stand out in a competitive restaurant space while feeling authentic, approachable, and grounded in craft.

//
THE STRATEGY
The goal was to build a brand that balanced modern boldness with timeless familiarity. The visual direction focused on warmth, smoke, and craftsmanship, using strong typography, simple marks, and flexible layouts to create a cohesive system across menus, signage, and in-space graphics.

//
THE RESULTS
The final identity established a strong and recognizable presence for Oak & Ember, aligning the visual brand with the quality and atmosphere of the restaurant. By building a flexible system across physical and branded touchpoints, the work helped position the restaurant as a confident, experience-driven destination.
