Founded by renowned beer expert Patrick Rue, The Bruery expertly combines innovation and creativity to craft a wide range of distinctive beers, from refreshing lagers that quench your thirst to complex aged imperial stouts that offer a rich tasting experience, all while utilizing advanced brewing techniques. As part of the dedicated marketing team, I contributed to upholding a contemporary visual identity and thoughtfully designed packaging for this decade-old brewery, while also celebrating the rich brewing traditions that have made it a respected name in the industry.

BRAND EVOLUTION
As one of the oldest breweries in Orange County, it was time to modernize the visual and creative direction while staying true to Patrick Rue's original vision. We led the creative direction, ensuring that the brand’s heritage was honored while introducing a fresh, contemporary look. With a focus on maintaining the ethos of brewing masterful beers and pioneering barrel-aging techniques, the new direction reinforced the brewery's reputation as a global leader in the craft.
REPPING THE BRAND ON YOUR BACK
For a brewery, crafting thoughtful merchandising and apparel design is essential in maintaining loyalty among dedicated fans while also attracting new customers. Well-designed apparel can serve as a powerful brand extension, sparking interest and inviting potential customers to engage with the brewery in person. I was responsible for developing and designing seasonal apparel collections, ensuring each line reflected the brewery's unique identity while appealing to both loyal fans and new audiences. The apparel not only creates a sense of community but also acts as a walking advertisement, encouraging people who see the designs to visit the tasting room, sample the brews, and become part of the brewery’s growing fan base. By prioritizing unique, high-quality merchandise, a brewery can foster deeper connections and ensure long-lasting brand loyalty.

This is my promise and my goal: every time you open a beer from The Bruery, I want to see that look of wonder on your face and the curiosity in your eyes, asking, 'How did they do that?' I designed the brand's packaging to perfectly capture and complement the unique taste of each beer, enhancing your experience from the first glance to the last sip. I believe this attention to detail makes life a bit more interesting. Our beers spark conversations, pair beautifully with meals, and bring people together. They might even change the way you think about beer.
REDEFINING THE LEGACY
Each year, The Bruery's iconic Black Tuesday release pushes the boundaries of what this legendary beer can be. Building on the original Black Tuesday, recent years have seen a range of small-batch creations, unique barrel treatments, and inventive concepts, all under the Black Tuesday label. As I joined the team, I helped shape the design for several of these creative releases. Here’s a look at the concepts I contributed to over the years.
